Motorhome Travels - February 2007

15/02/2007

What a feeling ... we are back in the motorhome and almost ready to set off once again. It was such as relief to arrive at the Casey's (where the motorhome was stored) and see old Hobohome sitting there patiently waiting for our return. Bob and Mary Casey are among a number of people to whom we owe a big thanks for their help during a difficult time.

It was fantastic to spend some really relaxing time up in the Bay of Islands with friends and family before heading back to Australia. The Tauranga Bay camping ground is wonderful place, with sites right on the beach and a really friendly, helpful management team.

We have a few small tasks to complete here in Perth, some restocking of the motorhome and some small maintenance jobs to do before we start heading north. We plan to tour slowly north along the costal road. The earlier start will mean that we will be a couple of months ahead of our last years route - this will allow us to spend more time in some of the great fishing and diving spots along the way.  (We have a new spear gun on board - so we may even give some of those big spangled emperor's we saw last year a fright).

Oh yes - in case you are wondering, Tivoli (our cat) is back in the motorhome with us.

As this next chapter of our travels opens we invite you all along for the ride (virtually of course!)
